Charis Centre - the H.E.A.R.T. Women's Addiction Recovery Program
Charis - God's grace towards us, which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm and loveliness
With great faith in God, UGM opened the doors to women seeking Christ-centered recovery from addictions on October 5, 2009. The renovation of the 60-suite structure which began in August continues to move forward keeping ahead of the program as it is developing.
WE OFFER A VARIETY OF COURSEWORK WITH EMPHASIS ON SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT, RECOVERY ISSUES AND LIFE-SKILLS
Our women’s recovery program is dedicated to Christ-centered care. The H.E.A.R.T. one-year recovery program is structured into five phases: healing, edification, accountability, responsibility and transition. The H.E.A.R.T. recovery program is structured to come alongside women who are battling substance addictions by providing Biblical teaching and counselling, a supportive environment and opportunities to build healthy relationships through a variety of activities.
