Praise God for 45 children saved during July from about 500 we sent to 8 Bible camps. Further reports will be coming for August. Pray for more children to be registered for our Christian school program. We now have 72 out of the capacity of 100. Praise God for a donor who has offered to match donations to finish the kitchen at the Charis Centre, up to $30,000. We hope to complete the kitchen in September. Pray for a 15 passenger van or a bus that can carry up to 24 passengers. The need is reaching a critical stage at the Charis Centre, but also extends to our men's program, youth program and adult education.

Free Camp

Camp Sponsorship Program

Union Gospel Mission sponsors just over 1000 children and youth from low income families to attend a variety of Bible camps in Manitoba. The criteria for a camper are as follows:

1) The camper must be a resident of Winnipeg
2) The camper must not have attended one of the camps (see below) we are working with in the year that they are sponsored.
3) The camper's must be low-income or on social assistance.

To apply for sponsorship please download a copy of the 2010 Union Gospel Mission - Family Life Centre Camp Sponsorship Application and return it with your camp registration form to the Family life Centre at 240 Pritchard Ave.

The camps available are: (No more 2010 camper applications are being accepted by our camps)

Gimli Bible Camp - Camp Finished for the Summer

Bird River Bible Camp - Camp finished for the summer

Winkler Bible Camp - Mission Point - Camp finished for the summer

Valley View Bible Camp - Camp finished for the summer

Faith Bible Camp - Camp finished for the summer

Circle Square Ranch - Austin - Camp finished for the summer

SCA Eagle Bay Camp - Camp finished for the summer

Each camp has limited space and there are only certain weeks that sponsorship is available for them. Please contact the Family Life Centre to see what is available for your child.

The Campers may register either in person at the Union Gospel Missions Family Life Centre located at 240 Pritchard Ave or by calling 415-5126 and have an application form mailed to them. When applying in person please bring with you proof of income and your Manitoba health number.
