Praise & Prayer

  • Pray for peace and harmony on the streets, as tensions rise, drug use increases and demon spirits run amok.

  • Pray for safety of all our front line workers and volunteers.  Not only from Covid, but also from mentally impacted anger infused outbursts.

  • Praise the Lord that three students at our Faith Learning Centre gave their lives to the Lord Jesus, two young ladies and one young man.  Hallelujah!

  • Pray for Sean.  Desperately lonely and troubled soul, missing for 12 months.  T UGM, many of our guests share heartfelt stories of friends and family whose whereabouts are unknown.  May 2021 provide reunion and answers.

  • Praise God for Polar Bear snow sculptor, Vinora Bennett, raising funds and bringing more public awareness to God’s work at UGM.  (We even got a mention on a U.S. Network T.V. station!)

Please pray for our homeless, poor, needy, marginalized and stigmatized in our community.  They are all precious people, who need loving, caring and commune with others.  They cannot be stereotyped nor should they feel rejected, but with so many doors closed to them these days, how can they not feel that way?

As we served hot boxed meals yesterday, we reached out to them with a small package, "You Matter".  We have invited feedback from each one to hear their reality in these lockdown times.  We have told them that we are mobilizing the church family throughout Manitoba to more urgent prayer.

Pray also that the authorities will give greater consideration to the needs of our street guests.

Isaiah 41 vs 17 - "As for the poor, the needy, those seeking water— when there is none and their tongues are parched from thirst— I, the LORD, will answer them. I, the God of Israel, won't abandon them."  How exciting it is to be on the Lords side!
